Visit sites that date back to 1,350 at the Ayutthaya Historical Park. Learn about Buddhist history, architecture, and religion as you explore countless temples with your
experienced tour guide. In the 18th century, much of Ayutthaya was destroyed by Burmese invaders; witness the structures in their various states of disrepair. Tree roots
growing around scattered Buddha heads only adds to the historical charm of this unique destination. After departing from Bangkok bright and early, see Bang Pa-In
Royal Palace en route to Ayutthaya. Used as a summer residence for ancient Thai kings, the golden pagodas and serene pools make for a great introduction to the region’s
glorious past. After arriving in Ayutthaya, take several hours to explore fascinating ancient religious sites including Wat Mahathat, where a decapitated Buddha head sits
nestled between ancient tree roots. Continue to Wat Mongkol Borpit, known for its enormous seated Buddha statue. Discover Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the most holy and
important complex of the ancient Thai capital. Finally, explore Wat Chaiwatthanaram, known for its towering stone chedis. This site is one of the main reasons Ayutthaya
was awarded UNESCO status in 1991. Escape Bangkok for the day and journey to the Ancient city of Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand. Visit UNESCO-listed

Temple Dress Rules :

  • Please wear dress politely for Summer Palace & Temple.
  • Ladies should have minimum 3 quarter length sleeves and shorts to the knee for the temple.

Warning Tips..It can be hot our there! Thailand is very hot. Please bring plenty of bottled water, sun screen etc.
Don’t forget to bring a cap, towel, sun glasses, energy drinks, painkillers etc.
Take special care of camera equipment
make sure battery is full charged.
It’s easy to trip and drop a camera. Always keep back up SD cards and back up your photos.

Tipping : If you tip the guide remember the driver he is the one that gets you there and back to your hotel safely.

Itinerary

08:00 am  Meet your English Speaking Tour Guide at the lobby of your hotel.

08:30 am  Depart Bangkok for Ayutthaya. (76 Kilometer)

09:30 am  Visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace A few miles down the Maenam Chao Phraya from Ayutthaya is the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace.
The site was first used by the royal court as a summer retreat in the 17th century. However, the Palace was destroyed with the fall of the Kingdom
of Ayutthaya and was restored by King Rama IV in the mid-19th century. Most of the buildings that exist today date from the reign of King Rama 5.

10:30 am  Visit Wat Yai Chaimongkol, This temple is also called “Wat Chao Phraya Thai”. It was built by King U-Thong in 1357 for meditation.
The central pagoda built under King Naresuan at the end of the 16th century was tall enough to outshine the Burmese-built Phu Khao Thong temple.

11:00 am  Wat Maha That : Also known as “Monastery of Great Relic”. It was the center of Buddhism in the Ayutthaya Kingdom Burmese put it on fire.
A Buddha’s head entwined within the roots of a tree is one of the most recognizable images in the temple. Wat Na Phra Men or “The Monastery in
Front of the Funeral Pyre”. The crowned Buddha the most important Buddha image. The crowned image sits in the Subduing Mara posture and
measures 6 m high and 4.50 m in width across the lap. The image was cast of metal and covered with gold leaf. The peculiarities of Phra Buddha
are that the image is attired in royal dress complete with crown, earrings, necklace, chest, and arm ornament.

12:00 pm  Lunch at a local restaurant.

13:00 pm  Wat Phra Sri Sanphet This monastery was the most important temple of Ayutthaya and was situated within the Grand Palace grounds.
It served as a model for the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok Proceed to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital in the period of 1350-1767 A.D.
The most interesting historical sites in the country, to visit a few famous Buddhist Temples.

15:00 pm  Depart from Ayutthaya.

16:00 pm  Arrive to Bangkok and transfer back to your hotel safely.
