This great one-day tour takes you to 2 provinces the picturesque of Ratchaburi at Floating Market and Kanchanaburi where you will first visit the Allied Prisoner of War Cemetery from World War II, Visit the famous Bridge Over the River Kwai and then take a train ride along the Thailand-Burma Death Railway with its famous wooden trestle viaduct that snakes along the side of the sheer cliff face of the mountain and the Buddha Cave.

Warning Tips..It can be hot our there! Thailand is very hot. Please bring plenty of bottled water, sunscreen etc.
Don’t forget to bring a cap, towel, sunglasses, energy drinks, painkillers etc.
Take special care of camera equipment and make sure battery is fully charged.
It’s easy to trip and drop a camera. Always keep back up SD cards and back up your photos.
Tipping : If you tip the guide remember the driver, he is the one that gets you there and back to your hotel safely.

Itinerary

Note : Times are an estimate depending on the amount of time you spend at each activity. Confirm with your guide on the day.

07:00 am  Pick up at your hotel in Bangkok. Depart for Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, Situated 110 Km. west of Bangkok. Your journey commences with a leisurely drive through rice paddies and salt fields.

08:30 am  Arrive Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Take a 30-40 minutes long tail boat trip along fruit plantation to see Thai houses and the traditional way of life. Here you will be fascinated by boats of various shapes and sizes used by local merchants to ferry their goods. You are able to hire small boat board along the market for shopping local products.

09:30 am  Depart Floating Market to Kanchanaburi.

11:00 am  Arrive in Kanchanaburi. The first stop being a visit to the world-famous Bridge over the River Kwai and the Allied Prisoner of World War II Cemetery.

11:30 am  Take a train ride along part of the “Death Railway” to Nam-Tok station (Included). Nam-Tok station is the last existing train station of the Thailand-Burma railway in Thailand. On the way the train will pass along the famous wooden trestle bridge (As seen in the movie Casualties of War) that runs along the side of a cliff. This is one exciting train ride you will never forget!

12:30 pm  Lunch at Thai Local Restaurant. (Included)

01:30 pm  Walk on the wooden trestle viaduct that snakes along the side of the sheer cliff face of the mountain to visit the Kasae Buddha Cave that was used as an hospital for POW’s in WWII.

02:30 pm  Leave for Elephant Camp.

03:00 pm  Arrive Elephant Camp here you can enjoy a cool down while swimming and bathing with these magnificent beasts additional 800 Baht each or Elephant Ride 600 Baht each.

04:00 pm  Leave Kanchanaburi Province for Bangkok.
